About A-GPS support
Depending on your handheld version or service
provider, your handheld might be enabled with
Assisted Global Positioning System (A-GPS)
support.
If your handheld is enabled with A-GPS support,
an emergency operator can estimate your location
when you make an emergency call or when your
handheld is in Emergency Callback Mode. In the
handheld options, click Location Based Services
and set GPS Services to 911 Only/Location Off.
To allow an operator to estimate to your
approximate location at other times (subject to A-
GPS limitations) set GPS Services to Location On.
Warning:
In an emergency, always provide detailed
information about your location to the emergency
operator. Because of certain limitations in A-GPS
technology and emergency infrastructure, the
emergency operator might not be able to estimate
your location using only A-GPS information.
