8. Ringing tones and vibrator
8.3 Selecting the volume and
the type of ringing tone
You can command your phone to
ring when receiving calls and/or
short messages.
RNG & BEEP/HANDSET/
OUT.CALLS
Select melody for calls to handset.
The alarm function
is represented on
the screen by the
symbol .
Permanent flashing
of this symbol
indicates that an
alarm time has been
programmed but the
date and time clock
has not been
initialised.
A wide variety of
melodies are
available (including
a silent ring) as
well as a number of
settings, including a
crescendo.

Select melody for messages to handset.
RNG & BEEP/FREE HAND/OUT.CALLS
Select melody for calls in hands-free mode.
RNG & BEEP/FREE HAND/MESSAGES
Select melody for messages in hands-free
mode.
For each of the above selections, the
middle option - AUDIBLE or MUTE -
allows you to listen to or bypass the tone
test during the setting phase.
Select the desired tone by pressing the
scrolling arrows, then validate.
Select the desired volume by pressing the
scrolling arrows, then validate (from 1 to 4
and + for crescendo setting).
8.4 Setting the alarm
RNG & BEEP/ALARM
To use your phone for wake-up
calls:
With the scrolling arrows, set the
waking time (hours), validate by
pressing Ok then set the minutes
and validate.
Display ACTIVE by pressing the
scrolling arrows.
Validate.
Ringing stops by pressing any key;
the wake-up time remains
programmed.
The wake-up function remains
active even with the phone OFF.
Neither is it affected by the SILENT
ringing mode.
