• Composing ringing tones
This method can change the User 1~2 entries in
the list of ringing tones. Refer to melody
composer (Menu 4-2) for details.
• Downloading ringing tones via PC Link and cable
This method can change 12 changeable 16poly
entries in the predefined ringingtones. For further
details, refer to the PC Link guide in this package.
• Downloading ringing tones from WAP
This method can change only the first 8 entries
of the 12 changeable 16poly. For details about
this network service, contact your service provider.
Note: While downloading ring tones, if the battery
is detached from the phone, you can lose the
downloaded ringtones.
Melody Composer Menu 4-2
This menu allows you to compose your own,
customised ringing tone.
• Three octaves are available.
• A maximum of 100 notes can be entered.
• Adjustable length of note and note rest.
To Compose Melody
You can compose two melodies. When you access the
menu, the melody name appears, if already created.
Otherwise, Empty appears. Select Empty to create a
new melody or select the melody’s name that you want
to edit.
Use the following keys to compose a melody:
Tones
You can use the Tones menu to customise various sound
settings.
Ring Tone Menu 4-1
Your phone supports 16 poly. 16 poly means the sound of
pressing 16 keyboards of instrument simultaneously.
There are 47 ringing tones in total. 42 predefined 16poly
(30 fixed and 12 changeable), 3 downloadable monopoly
and 2 composite.
To Select a Ringing Tone
When a list of ringing tones is displayed, scroll through
them each will play. Highlight the ringing tone you want to
use and press the Select soft key.
Note: If your SIM card supports ALS, this option also
allows you to select a different ring tone for each
line.
To Change the Changeable Ringing Tones
• Downloading ringing tone messages
This method can change the Download 1~3 entries in
the list of ringing tones. This is Nokia compatible. For
details about this network service, contact your service
provider.
When you receive a ringing tone message, proceed as
follows;
1. To listen to the tone, press the Play soft key.
2. To save the ring tone, press the Save soft key.
3. Select the ringing tone location you wish to save it
and press the OK soft key.
4. To use this tone as the current ringing tone, press the
Yes soft key. Otherwise press the No soft key.
