Section 8: Settings
Use settings to configure your phone to your preferences.
Accessing Settings
From the home screen, tap
Apps >
Settings
.

Drag down from the Status bar to display the
Notification panel, and then tap
Settings
.
Search Settings
Enter key words to search for settings.
From the home screen, tap
Apps >
Settings
>
Search
, and then enter key words.
Settings Options
Configure options to make Settings easy for you to use.
From the home screen, tap
Apps >
Settings >
Menu
for these options:
•List view/Grid view
: Display Settings in a list, or grid layout.
• Edit quick settings
: Choose up to twelve quick settings to
display at the top of the list or grid of Settings.
•Help
: Learn about Settings.
Airplane Mode
When you turn on Airplane mode, your phone disconnects
from all networks, meaning you cannot use make calls, send
or receive messages, or access the Internet. It also turns off
other connectivity features, such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
While in airplane mode, you can use other features, such as
playing music, watching videos, or other applications.
Tip:
To use Wi-Fi and Bluetooth after turning on Airplane
mode, turn them on in Settings, or on the Notification
panel.
1. From the home screen, tap
Apps >
Settings >
Airplane mode
.
2. Tap the
ON/OFF
switch to enable or disable the option.
Note:
You can also control Airplane mode from the Device
options menu. Press and hold the
Power/Lock key
, and
then tap
Airplane mode
.
