specified by IETF.

WAP
Wireless Application Protocol. Handheld devices,
low bandwidth, binary coded, a deck/card
metaphor to specify a service. A card is typically a
unit of interaction with the user, that is, either
presentation of information or request for
information from the user. A collection of cards is
called a deck, which usually constitutes a service.
WAP Application
A collection of WML cards, with the new context
attribute set in the entry card.

WML
Wireless Markup Language. A markup language
used for authoring services, fulfilling the same
purpose as HyperText Markup Language (HTML)
does on the World Wide Web (WWW). In contrast to
HTML, WML is designed to fit small handheld
devices.
WMLScript
WMLScript can be used to enhance the
functionality of a service, just as, for example, Java
Script may be utilized in HTML. It makes it possible
to add procedural logic and computational
functions to WAP-based services.
