Adding and Removing Programs 71
Adding and Removing Programs
Programs that were already installed when you received your device are stored
in ROM. You cannot remove these programs, and you never accidentally lose
ROM contents. ROM programs can be updated using installation programs
with the
*.xip
extension. You can save data to either ROM or RAM.
You can install any program created for your device as long as your device has
sufficient memory. The most popular place to find software for your device is
on the Microsoft
®
Windows Mobile™ 2003 Second Edition website:
www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile
.

contains the software into your computer). You may see a single
*.xip

Setup.exe
file, or several versions of files for different
device types and processors. Ensure that you select the program designed
for the Pocket PC and your device processor type.

comes with the program. Many programs provide special
installation instructions.
