During a Call
During a call, you can change the earpiece volume by sliding the
volume key on the side of the phone.
Slide up to increase the volume.
Slide down to decrease the volume.
During a call, you can turn off the microphone.
Press and hold until Muted appears in the display.
Press and hold again to resume the conversation.
Tip: Instead of pressing and holding , you can put the call on
hold by pressing
YES.
You can use your phone as a speakerphone during a call, for example
when you want others to participate in a conversation or when you
need to have your hands free during the call. We recommend that you
use the speakerphone in a quiet environment.
To turn the speakerphone on or off
1. During a call or in standby, press .
2. Press until Speakerphone or Deact. Speaker is highlighted,
press
YES.
When the speakerphone is on, an icon appears.
Warning! While the speakerphone is on, do not hold the phone
close to your ear as this may cause damage to your hearing. Hold
the phone about 30 - 50 cm in front of your face and speak into the
microphone.
The speakerphone is not available when you use your phone together
with any handsfree equipment or when the IR port is on.
