8. Receiving and forwarding
business cards and
calendar items
You can receive or forward data such as business cards or
calendar notes from or to a compatible mobile phone either via
Bluetooth wireless technology or in the form of a short
message.
Receiving a business card or calendar item
If you have received a business card or calendar note via
Bluetooth wireless technology or in the form of a short
message, you may select any of four options:
a Press to view the list of options.
View
This option allows you to view the business card or calendar
note received.
Save (for business cards only)
Select this option to save a business card in the car kit phone
memory. If a wireless Bluetooth SIM Access Profile link has
been established to a compatible mobile phone, the business
card will automatically be forwarded to the compatible mobile
phone.
Forward
You can forward a business card or calendar note that you have
received to a compatible device using Bluetooth wireless
technology or as a short message.
To forward a business card or calendar note:
a Press to confirm receipt of the message.
a Scroll with to Forward and press to select this
option.
a Scroll with to the desired transmission technology via
Bluetooth or Via text message and press to select it.
a Scroll with to the compatible device which you wish
to send the message to and press to select it.
Save and Forward (for business card only)
Select this option to save a received business card in the car kit
phone memory and to forward it simultaneously to a
compatible mobile device using Bluetooth wireless technology
or as a short message. For further information see “Forward” on
page 61.
Discard
Select this option if you do not wish to save a business card or
calendar note.
