Appearance settings of the WAP browser
Select the Appearance settings from the Settings menu, or if a WAP connection is in progress, press
Options and Appear. sett. Select
Text wrapping so that if the text cannot be shown on one line, it will continue on the next line.
Show images to show or hide the pictures appearing on the WAP page. If you choose No, this can
speed up the browsing of WAP pages that contain a lot of pictures.
Download settings
You can set the phone to allow or prevent the receiving of cookies.
A cookie is data that a WAP site saves in your phones browser cache memory. The data can be, for
example, your user information or your browsing preferences. Cookies will be saved until you clear the
cache memory, see step 5 on page 67.
Select Download settings from the Settings menu. Then select Cookies and select Allow or Reject to
allow or prevent the phone receiving cookies.
Browsing the pages of a WAP service
Service settings are required to use a WAP service. You may have to save the service settings onto the
phone before using WAP services. You obtain the service settings from your service provider or network
operator.
The function of the phone keys may vary in different WAP services. Follow the text guides on the
phones display. For more information, contact your WAP service provider.
Note that if GPRS is selected as the data bearer, the indicator is shown on the top left of the display
during browsing. If there is an incoming (or outgoing) call during a GPRS connection, the indicator
will be shown on the top right of the display. The GPRS connection is suspended.
