Getting Started 7
Battery charging
The new battery is partially charged (about 50%) and
may be used directly out of the box. During the first
three charge cycles, you must ensure that the battery
is fully discharged before re-charging. This will enable
optimum performance of the battery.
• Plug the charger into the electrical outlet.
• Plug the charger connector into the bottom of the
phone (with the arrow pointing upward).
• At this time, the charge level icon will repeatedly
flash at the top right corner of the screen. If the
mobile phone is charging while it is turned off, a
charge indicator will appear on the screen. If you
continue to use the mobile phone when there is
insufficient power, the charge indicator may only
appear only after a few minutes of charging.
• When a full battery icon is displayed and stops
flashing, it means that the battery is fully charged.
If the mobile phone is charging while it is turned
off, there will still be an indication on the screen to
indicate that the charging is complete. This process
usually takes between 1 and 2.5 hours.
The mobile phone and charger will become warm
during charging and this is normal.
• When charging is complete, unplug the charger
connector from the electrical outlet and the mobile
phone.
Charging must be performed in a well-ventilated area
with a temperature between -10
o
C and +55
o
C. You
can only charge with the supplied charger. Using an
unapproved charger could be dangerous. In addition
to breaching the provisions of the repair warranty, it
also violates the certification of this mobile phone.
• If the mobile phone automatically shuts down, or
indicates
Battery is low
, you should immediately
charge the battery. If the battery power has not
been entirely used up before recharging, the
recharging duration will be automatically reduced.
