Wireless network coverage troubleshooting
I cannot connect to a wireless network
Try performing the following actions:
If you are trying to connect to a GSM network, verify that your BlackBerry® device is in global roaming mode and that your SIM
card is inserted in your device correctly.
Verify that you have turned on the connection to the wireless network.
Verify that you are connected to your wireless service provider's network. If you switched wireless networks manually, your device
remains connected to that wireless network until you select your wireless service provider's network again.
If you have specified a specific wireless network connection speed, verify that you are in a wireless coverage area that supports
the connection speed.
I cannot synchronize a certificate
Verify that the certificate synchronization tool of the BlackBerry® Desktop Manager is installed on your computer. If the certificate
synchronization tool is not installed on your computer, re-install the BlackBerry Desktop Software. For more information about installing
the BlackBerry Desktop Software, see the printed documentation that came with your BlackBerry device.
I cannot connect to a GSM network
Try performing the following actions:
Verify that your SIM card is inserted in your BlackBerry® device correctly.
Verify that your wireless service provider supports this feature.
Verify that you are in a GSM network area that is supported by your wireless service plan.
In the mobile network options, verify that the network mode for your device is not set to 1XEV.
Security troubleshooting
I cannot unlock my device using my smart card
Try performing the following actions:
Verify that the correct smart card is inserted in the smart card reader.
Verify that the smart card is inserted in the smart card reader correctly.
