20 Phone Basics
• Dual Language: When activated and you are in T9 Mode, displays
choices from both the English and French dictionaries. Highlight
None or French.
• My Words: When activated, adds the word to the personal dictionary.
• Used Word Dictionary: When activated, adds the words used to the
phone’s dictionary. Highlight Yes or No.
• Display Candidate: When activated and you are in T9 Mode, displays
possible word choices on the screen. Highlight Display On or Display
Off.
• Prediction Start: Sets the number of letters required to activate the
Display Candidate feature. Highlight the numbers of letters you wish
to start Display Candidate.
• Auto Word Insertion: When activated, inserts predictive words into
the text.
• Help: Provides additional information on using T9 text entry mode.
Scroll up or down using the navigation key. When you are finished,
press the left softkey for Done.
Using Voicemail
All unanswered calls to your phone are automatically transferred to your voicemail,
even if your phone is in use or turned off. For information on configuring and
retrieving your voicemail, see "Voicemail" on page 44.
Using Caller ID
Caller ID allows people to identify a caller before answering the phone by displaying
the number of the incoming call. If you do not want your number displayed when
you make a call, just follow these easy steps.
To block your phone number from being displayed for a specific outgoing call:
1. Press *67.
2. Enter the number you want to call.
3. Press .
To permanently block your number, call the Customer Service department of your
network service provider.
