Backlight
The backlight illuminates the display and the
keypad. When you press any key or push the slider
up, the backlight comes on. It goes off when no
keys are pressed within a given period of time,
depending on the setting in the
Back
light
menu
(
Menu 9.2.3
). The display turns off after fifteen
seconds to conserve battery power.
To specify the length of time the backlight is active,
set the
Back
light
menu. See page 140 for further
details.
Appears when you are in Home zone, if
your service provider supports it.
Appears when you are in Office zone, if
your service provider supports it.
Appears when you set incoming calls to be
diverted to another destination. When your
SIM card supports ALS (Alternate Line
Service), it may appears with the number
of the current line, such as , , and
.
Appears when Silent mode is active or
when you set the phone to vibrate when
you receive a call. For further details, see
page 31 and page 142 respectively.
Appears when Mute mode is active.
Shows the level of your battery. The more
bars you see, the more power you have
remaining.
