Set Up and Activate Your Mobile Hotspot
Note: Risks can be associated with connecting to
the public Internet. It is recommended that you use
a password or other possible steps to protect
against unauthorized access.
1. Touch > > Settings > More… >
Tethering
& portable hotspot and touch the
check box next to Portable Wi-Fi hotspot to turn
on this feature.
2. Touch Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings and enter
your settings.
• Network SSID – Enter a unique name for your
hotspot.
• SSID broadcast – Selects the check box to
broadcast the SSID.
• Security – Select the type of security you want.
Other users can access your mobile hotspot
only if they enter the correct password.
Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot
• Password — Add a password depending
on your Security settings.
• Maximum Wi-Fi clients — Specify the
number of users who can access your
hotspot at any given time.
• Auto off — Set the interval of inactivity before
your hotspot will automatically shut down.
• Channel — Select a channel you wish to be on.
