Set Side Keys
You can specify the function that is accessed when you press the
Bottom Side Key and the Top Side Key/PTT Key from
idle mode.
1. From idle mode, press the Center Select Key [MENU], select
Settings & Tools, then press the Center Select Key [OK]. Press
Phone Settings, Set Shortcuts, Set Side Keys.
2. Select Bottom Side Key or Top Side Key, then press the Center
Select Key [SET].
3. Select a function, then press the Center Select Key [SET].
NOTES
When the function that is not available with the flip closed is
selected for Set Side Keys, that function will be activated when
the flip is opened after the Side Key is pressed.
When PTT mode is ON, the Top Side Key submenu does not
appear, and nothing can be changed.

Resetting the Side Key Settings
Use the following procedure to specify the default side key settings.
1. From idle mode, press the Center Select Key [MENU], select
Settings & Tools, then press the Center Select Key [OK]. Press
Phone Settings, Set Shortcuts, Set Side Keys.
2. Select Bottom Side Key or Top Side Key, then press the Right
Soft Key [Options].
3. Press Reset ([Bottom Side] or [Top Side]) Key, or
Reset Side Keys.
4. Select Yes, then press the Center Select Key [OK].
