Overlapping multi-part forms
This kind of continuous paper provides you with multi-part
forms. The page length of the multi-part forms is longer than
that of the backing continuous paper. So when extended, one
page’s multi-part forms overlap the next page’s multi-part
forms as shown below. The thickness of this overlapping area
is thicker than the printable area.

Use overlapping multi-part forms only under normal
operating conditions.
Loading overlapping multi-part forms
1. Make sure of the following:

Your software settings keep the printing entirely within
the printable area. For information about the printable
area, see the paper specifications on page A-12 and
A-13.
❑
The paper release lever is set to the tractor position.
❑
The setting in
Page Tractor
in SelecType 1 matches the
page length of the form you use.
Note:
In
Overlapping Form
and
modes, the printer
automatically activates the
AUTO
paper thickness function even
though the paper thickness lever may be set to another position.
