Both the text of the status message, and the background colour are used to provide
status information. The messages have the following meanings.
‘ OK ‘ Serial input is good, and being used as lock reference.
‘ OK ‘ Serial input is good, but is not being used as lock reference.
‘ Missing ‘ Serial input is not connected, and is not being used as lock reference.
‘ Missing ‘ Serial input is not connected, and is being used as lock reference.
‘ Error ‘ Serial input is connected, but is either bad, or does not match the current
standard. The serial input is not being used as lock reference.
‘ Error ‘ Serial input is connected, and the unit is trying to lock to it, but is failing –
perhaps because it does not match the current standard.
• Picture motion - moving/frozen
• The warning message can occur instantly, or after the condition has occurred for greater than a set
period. This can be adjusted in the Picture section of the Engineering dialog.
• Luminance content - present/chroma only
• The warning message can occur instantly, or after the condition has occurred for greater than a set
period. This can be adjusted in the Picture section of the Engineering dialog.
• Chroma content - present/monochrome
• The warning message can occur instantly, or after the condition has occurred for greater than a set
period. This can be adjusted in the Picture section of the Engineering dialog.
• Analogue reference sync - present & in correct standard/present but in an incorrect standard/missing.
As for the serial digital input, different text and different background colours are used to
provide information.
‘ OK ‘ Analog reference is good, and being used as lock reference.
‘ OK ‘ Analog reference is good, but is not being used as lock reference.
‘ Missing ‘ Analog reference is not connected, but is not being used as lock
reference.
‘ Missing ‘ Analog reference is not connected, but it is being used as lock reference.
‘ Error ‘ Analog reference is connected, and is being used as lock reference, but
for some reason, the unit failed to lock (perhaps the input reference is
the wrong standard)
