48 Section 2B: Controlling Your Phone’s Settings
Alert Notification
Your phone can alert you with an audible tone when you
receive voicemail or other messages, change service areas,
once a minute during a voice call, or when a call has been
connected.
To enable or disable alert sounds:
1. SelectMenu > Settings > Sounds > Alerts.
2. SelectBeep Each Minute,Out of Service,Connect,
or Sig Fade/Call Drop and press .
3. SelectOn or Off and press .
Silence All
There may be times when you need to silence your phone
entirely. The phone’s Silence All option allows you to mute all
sounds without turning your phone off.
To activate Silence All:

With the phone open, press and hold the volume key
down in standby mode. (The screen will display “Silence
All”)
To deactivate Silence All:
ᮣ
Press the volume key up repeatedly to select a desired
volume level.
