Assigning a Speed Dial Number
The first nine names & phone numbers stored in Phone Book are automat-
ically stored as speed dial numbers and can be speed dialled via the
number keys 1 to 9. If you want to assign another number to one of the
speed dial keys, do as follows:
1 Store the name and number you want to assign as a speed dial number
in Phone Book (if not already stored).
2 Recall the number from Phone Book (as described in Recalling a Name
& Phone Number from Phone Book later in this chapter).
3 Press and hold the number key (1 to 9) which you want to assign as a
speed dial key for the displayed number.
The text SPEED KEY SAVED is briefly displayed indicating that the
new number has been assigned to the selected speed dial key. The pre-
viously stored number remains in the Phone Book, but is not a speed
dial number any more.
To speed dial a name & number assigned to a speed dial key, see sec-
tions Speed Dialling and One-Touch Dialling earlier in this chapter.
