Change lock code
The preset lock code, by default, is the last four digits of your phone number.
Depending on your wireless service provider, the preset lock code can be a four
digit number such as 1234 or 0000. If none of these work, contact your wireless
service provider for help.
To ensure the security of your device, you may want to change the preset lock code
to your own selected four digit number. Avoid using codes similar to emergency
numbers to prevent accidental dialing of the emergency number.
If you enter an incorrect lock code five times in a row, your device will treat all
subsequent entries as incorrect, even if the correct code is entered. If you wait for
5 minutes and re-enter the correct lock code, the device will accept the lock code.
Note: With the wrong lock code entered five times in succession, your
phone will not accept your correct lock code for 5 minutes, even if you
power off the device between incorrect entries.
