Important: Exercise caution when opening messages. Messages may contain
malicious software or otherwise be harmful to your phone or PC.
Your phone can receive various types of messages, such as operator logos, business cards,
calendar entries, and ringing tones. You can save the message content to your phone. For
example, to save a received calendar entry to the calendar, select Options > Save to Calendar.
Service messages
Service messages (network service) are notifications that may contain a text message or the
address of a browser service.
To define whether service messages are enabled and whether the messages are downloaded
automatically, select > Messaging > Messages > Options > Settings > Service message.
E-mail
When you create a new mailbox, the name you give to the mailbox replaces New mailbox.
You can have up to six native mailboxes and multiple mailboxes with Mail for Exchange
TM
.
Select Menu > Messaging > Set up Em and follow the instructions to create and connect to
mailboxes using Mail for Exchange
TM
.
Mail for Exchange
With Mail for Exchange
TM
, you can wirelessly access your e-mail, calendar, and contacts
from your Microsoft Exchange account. Before setting up Mail for Exchange, you need your
Domain, Mail for Exchange server name, username and password. (Contact your company’s
IT help desk for this information.)
After successfully registering, your e-mail accounts appear in > Messaging > Messages.
Register e-mail accounts
1. Select > Settings > Phone setup > Setup e-mail > Start > Yes.
2. Enter the e-mail address.
3. Select OK.
4. Enter the password.
5. Select OK.
6. Select Mail for Exch..
7. Enter the user name.
8. Select OK.
9. Enter the domain.
10. Select OK.
11. Enter the server name.
12. Select OK.
