Features using Bluetooth technology increase the demand on battery power and reduce the
battery life.
Do not accept Bluetooth connections from sources you do not trust.
A Bluetooth connection is disconnected automatically after sending or receiving data.
Bluetooth connection settings
Select > Settings > Bluetooth and from the following:
Bluetooth — to activate or deactivate Bluetooth connectivity
My phone's visibility to allow your phone to be found by other devices with Bluetooth
connectivity at all times or for a defined time period, or to hide your phone from other
devices. For security reasons it is advisable to use the Hidden setting whenever possible.
My phone's name — to define a name for your phone
Remote SIM mode — to enable or disable another device, such as a compatible car kit
enhancement, to use the SIM card in your phone to connect to the network.
When the wireless phone is in remote SIM mode, you can only use a compatible connected
enhancement, such as a car kit, to make or receive calls. Your wireless phone will not make
any calls, except to the emergency numbers programmed into your phone, while in this
mode. To make calls, you must first exit remote SIM mode. If the phone has been locked,
enter the lock code to unlock it first.
Pair and block devices
To open a list of paired devices, in the Bluetooth menu, open the paired devices tab.
To pair with a device, select Options > New paired device and the device with which to pair,
and exchange passcodes.
Tip: If you pair with a Bluetooth headset, is displayed. If you move beyond the
maximum range for a Bluetooth connection, and need to reconnect, make sure the
phone displays Headset Disconnected and the indicator is not displayed before you
pair the headset again.
To cancel pairing, scroll to the device whose pairing you want to cancel, and press the
backspace key. If you want to cancel all pairings, select Options > Delete all.
To set a device to be authorized, scroll to the device, and select Options > Set as authorized.
Connections between your phone and an authorized device can be made without your
knowledge. Use this status only for your own devices to which others do not have access, for
example, your PC or devices that belong to someone you trust are indicated by .
To block connections from a device, in the paired devices, select the device and Block.
To view a list of blocked devices, open the blocked devices tab. To unblock a device, scroll to
the device, and select Delete.
