Use Swap to switch between the
active and held call while you have
two calls in progress.
Use End active call or End all calls to
end the active call or both the active
and held call while you have two
calls in progress.

Listening to voice
messages
In standby mode, press and hold
to call your voice mailbox. You
can obtain the voice mailbox
number from your service provider.
To save the voice mailbox number,
see ”Voice mailbox number (Menu 2-
9)” on page 18.

Locking the keypad
You can lock the keypad to avoid
accidental keypresses, for example,
when the phone is in your handbag.
To turn the lock on or off:
In standby mode, press and
then quickly.
You can also set the phone to lock
the keypad automatically after a
certain time. See ”Keylock settings
(Menu 6-5)” on page 25.
When the keypad is locked:
The indicator is shown. To
answer a call, press (Answer).
During a call, the phone can be
operated normally. When you end or
reject a call, the keypad will be
automatically locked. The HDC-5
headset can be used normally.
Note:
When Keyguard is on,
calls may be possible to the
emergency number
programmed into your
phone (e.g. 112 or other
official emergency number).
Key in the emergency
number and press
(Call). The number is
displayed only after you
have keyed in its last digit.
■ Saving a phone number
in the phone book
In standby mode, press (Menu)
(Phone book is displayed) and then
(Select). Scroll to Add name
and press (Select). Key in the
desired name (see ”Writing text” on
page 8) and press (OK). Key in
the area code and phone number,
and press (OK).
Quick save:
In standby
mode, key in the phone
number. Press or
and then (Save). Key
in the name and press
(OK).
