2. When the message is complete,
press (Options) to access
the following functions that you
can use for sending the message:
Send, Send to many, Send by set.
• Select Send to send the
message to the desired
recipient. Key in the
recipient’s phone number and
press (OK).
• Select Send to many to send
the message to several
persons. Scroll to the first
recipient, and press
(Send). Repeat this for each
recipient.
• Select Send by set to send the
message using a predefined
set of sending settings. See
”Message settings (Menu 2-
7)” on page 17.
In addition to the functions
described above, pressing
(Options) allows access to the
functions Save, Erase, and Exit.
• Select Save to save the message
in the Outbox menu.
• Select Erase to delete all the
characters from the display.
• Select Exit to return to standby
mode for example to make a call.
Reading a text message
(Inbox - Menu 2-2)
When you receive a text message,
you hear a message alert tone and
the number of new messages as well
as are shown in standby mode.
1. Press (Read) to view the
message immediately. If you
want to read the message later,
press . You can read the
message later in the Inbox menu
(Menu 2-2).
2. Scroll to the message you want
to read and press (Read).
3. Use or to browse through
the message.
4. While reading the message, you
can press (Options) for the
following functions: Erase, Reply,
Chat, Edit, Use number, Forward,
Details.
• Select Chat to have a
conversation using text
messages with another party.

• Select Use number to copy a
phone number in the message
to standby mode for calling or
saving.
• Select Details to view, for
example, the sender’s name
and phone number and the
message centre used.
