Section 13: Changing Your Settings
This section explains the sound and phone settings for your phone. It includes such settings as: display, security,
memory, and any extra settings associated with your phone.
Personalize
Using this menu you can personalize the Sound, Display, Phone, Messaging key, Hottest Ringtones, Slide open
shortcut, Menu design, Language, Greeting message, and Time and Date.
Sound settings
You can customize various sound settings.

From Idle mode, press Menu ➔ Settings ➔ Personalize ➔ Sound settings and press Select or .
The following options display:

Using the
Hottest Ringtones
option on the sounds list, you can quickly access the T-Mobile website and download
new sounds by using the browser.
1. From Idle mode, press Menu ➔ Settings ➔ Personalize ➔ Sound settings ➔ Incoming call and press

2. Highlight the
Hottest Ringtones
field and press to purchase additional sound files.
3. Select the Ringtone field and press to change the default melody.
4. Use the Navigation keys to highlight a Ringtone or press the
Left
or
Right
Navigation key to select a file from
either the Default Melodies, Voice list, Sounds, or Music folders.
5. Press to listen to a sample of the selection. Press when finished.
6. Press Select to enter the new ringtone.
7. Use the
Right
or
Left
Navigation key to increase or decrease the volume, then press
Save
to confirm your
selection.
