44 Messaging
You can view these numbers only when entering
them for the first time.
To make a call to an emergency number from a
locked phone, you must dial the number
(including area code) exactly as it was stored in
Emergency Numbers.
Erase contacts
You can erase all entries from your Contacts list.
1. Select Menu > Settings > Security.
2. Enter your four-digit lock code.
3. Select
Erase contacts and one of
the following:
No exits without erasing contacts.
Yes erases all contacts. A confirmation
prompt appears to verify your decision.
4. Select
Yes to confirm.
Erase downloads
You can erase everything that you downloaded to
the phone.
1. Select
Menu > Settings > Security.
2. Enter your four-digit lock code.
3. Select Erase downloads and one of
the following:
No exits without erasing downloads.
Yes erases all downloads. A confirmation
prompt appears to verify your decision.
4. Select
Yes to confirm.
Reset phone
This resets the phone to its factory default setting. All
custom content (including contacts, downloaded
content, and personal settings) are erased.
1. Select
Menu > Settings > Security.
2. Enter your four-digit lock code.
3. Select Reset phone and one of the following:
No exits without resetting the phone.
Yes erases all custom content and sets
the phone to its factory defaults. A
confirmation prompt appears to verify
your decision.
4. Select
Yes to confirm.
Messaging
See “Message settings” on page 20.
Network
Privacy Alert
You can set your phone to alert you when
enhanced digital CDMA privacy is lost or
regained. Select
Menu > Settings > Network >
Privacy alert > Enabled.
Location
This setting enables you to share your location
information with network services other than
emergency services (for example, 911, 111,
999 and 000) in areas where service has
been implemented.
