Nextel Voice Mail
Nextel Voice Mail is a flexible, easy-to-use system that takes messages when
youre not available so you never miss an important call.

into Voice Mail, there are a number of innovative features you can access. They
are also covered in this section. After you access Voice Mail, an automated
system tells you each menu option and which button to press to make a menu
selection. See Nextel Voice Mail Treeon page 95.
Setting Up Your Voice Mail Box
You must set up your Voice Mail box before you can listen to messages. The
following steps will tell you how to setup your mailbox. Before getting started,
see Recording Your Active Greetingon page 87 for information you may
want to include in your greeting.

Using your Nextel phone, dial your 10-digit Nextel Personal Telephone
Number (PTN). For example: 7035557777.
If you are calling from a phone other than your i58sr phone, dial your
10-digitNextelPTN. When you hearthe greeting, press * to accessyour
Voice Mail box.
The system will prompt you to Enteryourpassword. Enter the last
seven digits of your Nextel PTN. For example: 5557777. This is your
temporary password.
