Distribution lists
If you need to send messages frequently to a fixed group of people, you can define
a distribution list for that purpose. You can save these distribution lists in the
phone’s memory. The phone sends the message separately to each recipient on the
list. Therefore, sending a message using a distribution list may cost more than to
send a message to one recipient.
Distribution lists use shared memory. See “Shared Memory” on page 3.
From the menu, select Messages > Distribution lists. The names of the available
distribution lists are shown.
• If you have not saved any lists, press Add to create one. Key in the name for
the list and press OK. To add a name to the list, press Options > View list >
Add and select a contact from the phone book.
• Otherwise, scroll to a list, and
• press View list to view the contacts on the selected list. Scroll to a contact,
press Options and select to delete the contact or to view its details.
• press Options and select Add list to add a new list, Rename list to rename
a list, Clear list to clear the content of the list, or Delete list to delete it.
• RECEIVE A MESSAGE
When you receive a text message, the phone plays a message alert tone, and the
text message icon appears, along with one of the following messages:
Message received—You have an unread message or page. If you have more than
one message or page, the appropriate number is listed before this message.
New emergency message—An emergency message or page was sent by someone
using the service provider. Emergency messages are sent only in situations where
life or property are in immediate danger. Emergency messages are listed first and
override all other messages.
Urgent—The message has a high priority. These messages are indicated by an
exclamation point (!).
• READ A MESSAGE
1 Press Show.
If only one message has been received, the message is displayed. If more than
one message has been received, this action takes you to the Inbox, where the
new message is highlighted.
