Turning on Your Samsung 2500 Series Phone
To turn on the phone, ensure your battery is charged, and then
press and hold . The red LED flashes, and an alert
sounds. The display updates to reflect the following conditions:
• When the phone locates digital service, the greeting,
time, and date display. You can now place and receive
calls.
• If the phone cannot locate digital service, but does
locate analog service, there will be no time or date
displayed.
• If the phone cannot locate service, “Searching for
Service” displays. In this case, you cannot place and
receive calls. Turn off the phone, and then try again
later when or where service is available.
• In Lock mode, “Locked” displays. To unlock the phone,
see “Lock Mode” on page 66.
