Messaging
Now you can exchange text and email messages right from your
phone and stay connected without saying a word. Within the
Messaging menu you can also view the number of voice mail
messages you have waiting for you. The following folders are
available in the Messaging menu:
• Voice Mail - allows you to listen to any voice messages.
• Text Messaging - allows you to create and send new text
messages, as well as check your Text Message Inbox for
received messages.
• E-Mail - allows you to send a text message to a person’s
email address.
• Chat - allows you to chat with other people using the Chat
feature.
Using Voice Mail
Setting Up Your Voice Mail
All unanswered calls to your phone are automatically transferred to
your voice mail, even if your phone is in use or turned off. Therefore,
you will want to set up your voice mail and personal greeting as soon
as your phone is activated.
To set up your voice mail:
1. Press and hold the navigation key up.
2. Follow the system prompts to create your passcode, record
your greeting, and record your name announcement.
Note: You must request this feature from your service provider for it to
work correctly.
