5. Press for Local Image or for Downloads. Local
images come preloaded on your phone and cannot be
changed. Downloaded images are images that you have
chosen from your service provider.
Note: For more information on downloading images for your wall
paper, see "Downloading Ringtones, Games and Images" on page 70.
6. Press the navigation key left or right until the desired image
is displayed.
7. Press to save and exit.
Changing the Text Greeting
The text greeting can be up to 12 characters and is displayed on your
phone’s screen in standby mode. You may choose to display a
custom greeting or display your User Name on the phone’s screen.
To display or change your custom greeting:
1. Press the left softkey for Menu.
2. Press for Settings.
3. Press for Display.
4. Press for Banner.
5. Press and hold to clear the existing greeting.
6. Use the keypad to enter a new custom greeting. (See
"Entering Text" on page 19.)
7. Press to save and exit.
Changing the Backlight Time Length
The backlight setting lets you select how long the display screen and
keypad are illuminated after the handset is opened or any key press is
made.
