♦Press and hold the key to switch between : Alphabet
mode and : T9 mode.
♦Press the key to cycle between upper and lower case (for both
T9 mode and Alphabet mode) and for : Numeric mode.
Note: If you press and hold the key while in Numeric mode, you will switch
between Alphabet mode and T9 mode the next time you press to exit Numeric
mode.
Using T9 Mode
T9 is a predictive text input mode that allows you to key in any
character using a single keystroke. This text input mode is based on a
built-in dictionary. Your phone will select the most likely word based
on your keystroke combinations.
To enter a word in T9 mode:
1. When you are in T9 mode, start entering a word by pressing the 2
to 9 keys. Press each key only once for each letter.
Example
: To enter “HELLO” in T9 mode, press the , , ,
and keys.
The word that you are typing appears on the display. It may change
with each key that you press.
2. Enter the whole word before editing or deleting the keystrokes.
3. When the word displays correctly, go to step 4.
If the word displayed is not the one you want, press the key to
display alternative word choices for the keys that you have pressed.
4. Insert a space by pressing the key and start entering the next
word.
