If you select the wrong Message box, highlight the Message box and press
the key to remove the check mark from the box.
4. Press the Delete soft key.
5. Press the Yes soft key to confirm deletion.
Settings
Settings allow you to set up various options for using messaging services.
1. In Idle mode, press the Menu ( ) soft key to access Menu mode.
2. Use the Navigation keys to highlight Messaging and press the Select soft
key or the key.
3. Use the Up or Down Navigation key to highlight Settings and press the
Select soft key or the key.
4. Use the Up or Down Navigation key to highlight the type of messages for
which you want to change and press the Select soft key or the key.
Text Message
Use the Up or Down Navigation key to highlight an option and press the Select soft
key or the key. Use the Left or Right Navigation key to set the following
options:
SMS Settings
• Center Address: allows you to change the default Center Address number of
your message center, which is required when sending messages. You must
obtain this number from your service provider.
• Expiration: allows you to set the length of time your text messages are stored at
the message center while attempts are made to deliver them.
• Default Type: allows you to set the type of message you want to send. This is
network supported, consult your wireless provider.
• Name: allows you to edit or enter a customized name for the setting.
Empty
• Center Address: allows you to change the default Center Address number of
your message center, which is required when sending messages. You must
