46 Messaging
SMTP port if needed, change the number of the port
used by the SMTP protocol.
Email address enter your e-mail address.
From name: enter your name.
Signature select if you want to add your business
card to your e-mail messages.
Copy outgoing Select On, if you want e-mail
messages sent from your phone also to be sent
to an e-mail address of your choice. This way,
your sent messages are copied and can be saved
for future reference.
Check interval Select how often you want the phone
to connect to your e-mail server and check for
incoming e-mail messages. This is convenient if you
have got a GPRS subscription.
If you have both an office and a home e-mail account,
you can set one of them as default:
Select Set account from the Messages/Options/E-mail
menu and select the account.

Messaging
Your phone supports messaging services -
text messages and e-mail. Please contact your
service provider for details on which services
you can use.
Text messages
Text messages can be sent to one person, or to a group
of recipients that you have saved in the phone book.
Text messages can also contain pictures, animations,
melodies and sounds.
Before you start
First make sure that the number of your service centre
is set. The number is supplied by your service provider
and is usually saved on the SIM card.
To set the service centre number
1. Scroll to Messages,
YES, Options, YES, SMS, YES,
Service centers,
YES.
If the service centre number is saved on the SIM card
it appears in the display.
2. If there is no number in the list, select Add new?,
YES.
3. Enter the number, including the international + sign
and country code,
YES.
