Resetting and Locking Your Phone
Through SMS
When your phone is lostor stolen, you can erase your
important personal information (such as Contacts entries, call
history, and messages) and lock your phone by sending a
special formatted SMS message to your phone.
From your computer, sign on to
www.sprint.c
om
and send a
message to your phone (input your 10-digitSprint PCS Phone
Number) in the following format:
\ \ RESET **<Passcode>** RESET
<Passcode> – your defined passcode.
The defaultpasscode is your phone’s 11-digit
ESN (Electronic Serial Number), which is written
on the package or on the phone itself.
The locked phone will display the following message:
“If found, please call SprintCustomer Service 1-888-211-4727.”
Note:To send a message from mailer software, inputyour 10-digit
SprintPCS Phone Number followed by “@messaging.sprint.com.”
