Steering wheel
Heated steering wheel*
The steering wheel heating warms up the
leather area of the steering wheel.
1 Switching on
2 Switching off
3 Indicator lamp
̈ Switch on the ignition (୴ page 336).
̈ Switching on: Turn switch at the tip of
stalk in the direction of arrow 1.
The steering wheel is heated. Indicator
lamp 3 comes on.
̈ Switching off: Turn switch at the tip of
stalk in the direction of arrow 2.
The steering wheel heating is turned
off. Indicator lamp 3 goes out.

The steering wheel heating will not switch
on, when the temperature of the vehicle interior
is above 86°F (30°C).

Indicator lamp 3 flashes or goes out
ț in case of power surge or undervoltage
ț in case of a steering wheel heating
malfunction

The steering wheel heating switches off
automatically:
ț when you remove the SmartKey from the
starter switch
ț on vehicles with KEYLESS-GO*, when you
switch off the ignition (୴ page 336) and
open the driver’s door
ț when the temperature of the vehicle interior
is above 86°F (30°C)
ț after approximately 30 minutes
