Taking care of your device
Your device is a product of superior design
and craftsmanship and should be treated
with care. The following suggestions wil
l help you protect your warranty covera
ge.
Do not use or store the device in dusty, d
irty areas. Its moving parts and
electronic components can be damag
ed.
Do not store the device in high or c
old temperature. High temperatures can
shorten the life of electronic devices, da
mage batteries, and warp or melt
certain plastics. When the device war
ms to its normal temperature from a col

temperature, moisture can form inside
the device and damage electronic
circuit boards.
Do not attempt to open the device ot

Do not drop, knock, or shake the devi
ce. Rough handling can break inter

circuit boards and fine mechanics.
Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning sol
vents, or strong detergents to clean

log the moving parts and prevent proper
operation.
Use only the supplied or an approv
ed replacement antenna. Unauthor

antennas, modifications, or attachme
nts could damage the device and m

violate regulations governing radio d
evices.
Use chargers indoors.
Backup all data you want to keep, such as
contacts and calendar notes.
To reset the device from time to tim
e for optimum performance, power off th
e
device and remove the battery.
These suggestions apply equally to
