Text and picture messages
Settings
1 Select Menu > Messages > Message Settings > Text messages >
Sending profile.
2 If more than one message profile set is supported by your SIM card, select
the set you want to change and select one of the following:
Message center number—Save the phone number of the message center,
which is necessary for sending text messages; obtain this number from
your service provider.
Messages sent via—Select the message type Text, Page, or Fax.
Message validity—Define how long the network attempts to send your
messages before it gives up.
Default recipient number—For text messages, the default number used to
send messages.
Delivery reports—Request the network to send delivery reports on
your messages. When a delivery report is received, it goes to the inbox,
and displays.
Use GPRS—Set GPRS as the preferred method of sending text messages.
Reply via same center—Allow the recipient of your message to send you
a reply message using your message center (network service).
Rename sending profile—Change the name of the selected profile. This
option is available only if your SIM card supports multiple sending profiles.
It is not available for the default profile.
Folders
You can use folders to organize text and picture messages.
Select Menu > Messages and one of the following folders:
Inbox—Messages are automatically stored in the inbox after they have been
read or if you select Exit when Message received appears on the start screen.
Outbox—Contains messages you have sent and are waiting to be transmitted.
Sent items—Messages that you have sent are automatically stored in this folder
if Save sent messages is set to On in the message settings for text messages and
multimedia messages.
Saved items—You can store messages in this folder that you have read or that
you want to send later.
