HSCSD - High Speed Circuit Switched Data
The Nokia 6210 has a built-in high-speed GSM data communication capability that enables the use of
GSM high-speed data services. You can use high-speed functionality when your phone is connected to
a computer via an IR connection or a serial cable and when the modem drivers supporting high-speed
data software are installed on your computer and selected as an active modem. For availability of
high-speed data services and subscription to services, please contact your network operator or service
provider.
With the GSM high-speed data service you can use the Internet and other services much faster than
usual. When sending and receiving
e-mail, the 14.4 kbps data transmission speed can be doubled up to
28.8 kbps. In Internet connections a download speed of up to 43.2 kbps can be achieved if supported by
the equipment of the network operator and the Internet service provider.
Note: Sending data in HSCSD mode drains your battery faster than normal voice or data calls as the
phone is sending data faster. For continuous usage, connect the phone to a charger.
