Messaging
Messaging
Your Smartphone can send and receive SMS and instant
messages. When a new message is received, a tone sounds
and a notification appears in the Title Bar and on the counters
on the
Home Screen, if available.
SMS text messages
You can send and receive text messages to other users with
SMS capability. Text messaging, also known as SMS (Short
Message Service) can be sent from one device to another by
addressing the message to the recipient's phone number.
Creating text messages
Tip: Text messages can be sent to up to 10 people at once.
Simply recall the names from your Contacts list and add
them to the To: field while composing a message.
If you manually enter the recipients of your text message,
you must separate each name with a semi-colon.
1.
At the Home Screen, press the left soft key ( ) Start.
Inbox is highlighted.
2. Press , then press the left soft key ( ) New.
Highlight
SMS.
3. Press . The New Message screen appears in the
display.
4. Enter the phone number of the recipient in the To: field,
or press the right soft key ( )
Menu. Insert Contact is
highlighted. The
Select a Contact screen displays.
5. Press to highlight the contact you want to add to the
message, and press .
