6. Press to move the cursor to the message body field.
Enter your message using the keypad.
Tip: Press and hold to cycle between T9, 123, and
ABC modes. Briefly press to cycle between different
options within each mode.
Tip: Press the right soft key Menu while composing a
message to display several options such as inserting a
short, pre-composed message, and more. See the following
section for more information.

When you’re finished writing the message, press the
right soft key
Menu.
8. Press to highlight Send Message and press .
SMS messages are limited to 160 characters. If you send an
SMS message of more than 160 characters, it is broken up
and sent in separate messages until the entire message is
delivered. Charges apply for the delivery of each message
according to your billing plan.
Tip: Use T9 text entry to write messages, it’s much faster
than the traditional multi-tap method.
Text messaging options
Press the right soft key ( ) Menu while composing a
message to display the options in the following table.
Some options may not be available depending upon your
location within the New Message screen. These options will
appear in a lighter text than other options.

Insert Contact
Add up to ten contacts from your Contacts
list to the recipient field of the message.
Insert Text
Insert pre-composed short phrases or
replies into your message.
