Using Automatic Speech Recognition
Your Sprint PCS Vision Phone is equipped with an Automatic
Speech Recognition (ASR) feature. This feature allows you to
make calls or use the phone’s functions by simply using your
voice. All you have to do is to talk into the phone, and the
phone will recognize your voice and complete tasks by itself.
You can activate Automatic Speech Recognition whether the
phone is open or closed.
ActivatingAutomatic Speech Recognition
To activate Automatic Speech Recognition:
From standby mode, press .
The phone displays the Command menu and prompts you to
say the name of the command you wantto use. To complete
your task, simply follow the voice prompts. You can speak the
name of the command after you hear a beep.
The following is a listof available ASR commands:
Contactto call an entry in your Contacts list. (See
page 156for details.)
Dial Numberto dial a phone number by speaking the
number. (See page 157 for details.)
Call Voice Tagto call the name or phone number stored in
the Voice Tag List. (See page 158 for details.)
Find Contactto find an entry stored in your Contacts list.
