Messaging
Email
Connect to a POP3 or IMAP mail server to send
and receive email messages with your phone. You
can use the same email settings in your phone as in
your computer email program.
Before you start
Make sure that your phone subscription supports
Internet, email and data transfer and that you have
registered as an email user and have email account
settings in your phone.

Create an email account
If necessary you can manually create an email
account. Make sure that you have the email account
settings from your email provider available.
Some of the settings are required and some
of the settings are optional.
To enter required email account
settings
1 } Messaging } Email } Settings } Account
settings } New account.
2 Enter a name for the account } OK.
3 Press to select Email address, enter the
email address } OK.
4 Press to select Connect using and select
a data account (provided by your network
operator or service provider).
5 Press to select Connection type (POP3
or IMAP).
6 Press to select Incoming server, enter the
server name or IP address } OK.
7 Press to select Username, enter the
username for the email account } OK.
8 Press to select Password, enter the
password for the email account } OK.
9 Press and scroll to select Outgoing server,
enter the server name or IP address } OK.
To enter optional email account
settings
Press or to scroll and continue to select
optional settings for your email account, for
example Check interval.
Default email account
If you have several email accounts you can set one
as default.
