Internal & External Displays & Selecting functions and options
Automatic display off
If you do not press any key for ten seconds (dependent on
the user setting) while the internal and external displays are
dimmed, the internal display turns off automatically to save
power. To restore the display, press any key.

Your phone offers several convenient ways for you to select
the phone function you want. You can access all of your
phone’s functions when it is open.

Your phone offers many phone operating and customization
functions arranged in menus and sub-menus.
Each menu and sub-menu allows you to view and change
the settings of the particular function. You access these
functions using the left and right selection (“Soft”) keys when
your phone is open. Soft key functions change depending
on the current context. The label or icon in the bottom line of
the display, above the Soft keys, shows each key’s current
function.
To display the functions and options available, or
select the one required:
Press the left or right Soft key as appropriate.
To select the function that is displayed or option that is
highlighted, press the Soft key [[] or the [
o
] key.
To highlight the next option on a list, press the [u/d] key.
To move back to the previous function or option on a list,
press the [c] key.
To return to the Standby mode, press the [e] key.
Selecting functions and options
when your phone is closed
You can use some functions even though the phone is
closed. Here are functions of the side keys when the phone
flip is closed:
- Press to adjust the earpiece volume up.
- Press once to turn the ring off for an incoming call.
- Press and hold to reject an incoming call.
- Press and hold to turn the camera on/off, while the flip is
closed. Press once to take a picture.
NOTE
In some functions, you may be asked to enter a password
or PIN. Enter the required code then press the [
o
] key.
