Installing the battery
Tip: Your Kyocera Dorado phone comes with a
removable lithium ion (LiIon) battery.
Fully charge the battery before using the phone.
To install the battery:
1. Place the phone face down with the battery
recess toward you.
2. Place the battery in
the phone recess with
the copper contacts
toward the bottom of the
phone (1). Press the
upper portion of the
battery into place (2).
3. Place the two tabs at the
top of the rear cover into
the openings at the top
of the phone assembly.
Press the rear cover onto
the phone.
4. Close the port plug over
the latch, charging jack,
and headset jack.
Removing the battery
Warning: Before you remove the battery, make sure
the phone is powered off.
1. Open the port plug.
2. Between the phone jacks,
there is a latch to aid you
in opening the rear cover.
Press the latch inward to
release the rear cover.
3. Pull the rear cover away to
remove it from the phone.
4. Press the battery toward
the bottom of the phone
and pull the battery out of
the recess.
