24 Sending and Receiving Text Messages
Insert Mode accesses the templates list
where you can select another template to
insert in the current one.
Modify saves the modified template in the
templates folder.
Note: For help entering text, see page 14.
Customizing message settings
To make messaging easier, you can customize
settings for sending and receiving messages.
You can enable or disable various message
settings on your K352. These settings are
available from:
Menu Messages Msg Settings.
and
Menu Settings Msg Settings.
Incoming message settings
•From the Msg Settings menu, select
Incoming. The following options are available:
Auto Erase when the total number of
messages reaches 200, this enables the
phone to receive a new message by
deleting the oldest message. (The erase
order proceeds from Sent, Drafts, Saved
and Inbox lists).
Reminder choose how often you wish to
be alerted of incoming messages. Select
Off to disable this option.
Auto Retrieve enable this option to
automatically receive and download text
and multimedia messages.
Setting message alerts
You can set your phone to alert you of incoming
text messages or pages. For more information,
see “Setting message alerts” on page 41.
Outgoing message settings
•From the Msg Settings menu, select
Outgoing. The following options are available:
Priority set normal or urgent priority for
your outgoing messages.
Delvry Notic enable this option to receive
notification of message delivery.
Saved Msgs choose whether to save your
outgoing messages to the Saved Messages
folder, or to be prompted to save when
you send a multimedia message.
Call Back enter a call back number to
include with the message to let
recipients know at what number they
can call you back.
Signature enable this option to include
your signature in all outgoing messages.

Adding your signature
The signature you create is included at the end of
outgoing messages when the signature option is
enabled. See “Incoming message settings” on
page 24. However, it does not appear in the
message creation screen.
To create a signature:
1. Select Menu Messages
Msg Settings Signature.
