Services
(Menu 10)
Nokia Smart Messaging enables the use
of a variety of network services offered
by operators or service providers. Some
services may be available through the In-
ternet and, although your phone does
not support full World Wide Web brows-
ing, you may be able to access certain In-
ternet services directly from your phone
such as news, weather reports, traffic re-
ports, flight times and dictionaries.
NOTE:
The availability of operator serv-
ices vary and you may need to subscribe
to them. Please contact your local serv-
ice provider for rates and further infor-
mation.
Services are saved and accessed via
menu 10 which has two submenus:
Personal Bookmarks and
Operator Services
Nokia Services
Please check Club Nokia on the
Web, http://www.club.nokia.com,
for new services.
These menus are dynamic, which
means that the content of each sub-
menu will vary according to the serv-
ices you have saved under that
submenu.
To be able to use services, you first
need to subscribe to the Short Mes-
sage Service (SMS). When you order a
new Smart Messaging service, the op-
erator sends a message to your phone.
To add the new service under Menu
10, save the message. To access the
service, simply select the menu item.
NOTE:
As the services that are available
vary, this guide can give you only some
of the basic guidelines on how to use
such services. For more detailed infor-
mation on using a specific service, con-
tact your service provider and follow
the guide texts on your phone’s display.
Using operator services
The following instructions provide
some basic guidelines on how to use
Smart Messaging services.
Storing access numbers
To be able to use Smart Messaging serv-
ices, you will first need to have the serv-
ice access numbers saved in your phone’s
memory. When you receive a message,
the phone checks whether it is sent from
the authorised source specified in this
menu.
As regards Operator services, you will
be given the necessary access num-
bers by your service provider. Store
these numbers in the Operator settings
menu. For information, contact your
service provider.
