Call Functions 31
To set up a multi-party call:
1. From the Home screen, enter the desired number and
press .
2. Wait for the caller to answer, then press
Options
(LSK) and
select
New call
to place the current caller on hold and dial
the second call.
3. Enter the new phone number and press
Call
(LSK).
4. Wait for the second caller to answer the incoming call and
then press
Options
(LSK) and select
Join.
The two calls are
now joined into a multi-party call and display in the order
in which they were called.
Important!:
A maximum of two callers can be joined to a single multi-party
line at a time. Additional callers will participate in a new
Multiparty session and held in conjunction with the previous
multiparty call. You can swap or place each multi-party call on
hold.
Note:
These first two calls are then grouped together on screen and
displayed in the order in which the calls were made.
Having a Private Conversation With One Participant
When you have two participants in a multi-party session, you
might be necessary to place one of those participants on hold so
that a private conversation can be held with a single caller. While
you are in a multi-party call:
To split Callers Within a Multi-Party Line:
When you have two participants in a multi-party session, it might
be necessary to place one of those participants on hold so that a
private conversation can be held with a single caller. While you
are in a multi-party call:
1. From within the active multi-party call, press
Options
(LSK)
and select
Split
.
2. Select the participant you would like to split from the
current multi-party call. The list displays the callers in the
order they were dialed. You can now talk privately to that
person while the other participants can continue to
converse with each other. If there is only one other
participant, that person is placed on hold.
3. To return to the multi-party call, press
Options
(LSK) and
select
Join
. All of the multi-party call participants can now
hear each other.
