Dialing and Saving Phone Numbers With
Pauses
You can dial or save phone numbers with pauses for
use with automated systems, such as voicemail or credit
card billing numbers.
There are two types of pauses available on your phone:
Hard Pause sends the next set of numbers when you
press .
2-Second Pauseautomatically sends the next set of
numbers after two seconds.
To dial or save phone numbers with pauses:
1. Enter the phone number.
2. Press Options (right softkey), select either Hard Pause
or 2-sec Pause and press . (Hard pauses are
displayed as a “P” and two-second pauses as a “T.”)
3. Enter additional numbers.
4. Press to dial the number.
Using Abbreviated Dialing
Abbreviated Dialing is similar to speed dialing. You can
use either of the following abbreviated dialing features.
Prepend – P
repend the first five or six digits (for
example, the area code and prefix) to any four or five
digits you enter. Pres
s
to dial the resulting number.
To place a call using Prepend abbreviated dialing:
1. Enter the last four or five digits of the number.
2. Press .
Tip
You can also place a call by pressing Options(right
softkey)

Note
When dialing a number with a hard pause, press
TALK to send the next set of numbers.
Note
You can have multiple pauses in a phone number
and combine two-second and hard pauses.
