Message received
Text messaging is a network service that allows you to
send and receive text messages with your phone
(see
Text messages on page 76)
. Check with your service
provider for details.
When you receive a text message, the phone displays

and the indicator, and makes a
sound (depending on the Message alert tone;
see
page 52
).
To read the message, press

. This takes you to the
Inbox, with the new message selected. Press
5HDG
again to read the message.

Message settings
Text messaging is a network service that allows you to
send and receive text messages with your phone
(see
Text messages on page 76)
. Check with your service
provider for details.
You can specify some of the ways your phone handles
text messages. Depending on your SIM card, you can
have up to five sets of settingsfor example, one for
e-mail messages, one for pages, one for faxes, etc.
